Understanding and Treating Female Homosexuality

In this in-depth lecture series (4 hours), Janelle speaks to a clinical audience and explains the roots and causes of female homosexuality from a development perspective.  She addresses how environmental influences, innate strengths and propensities, and unconscious choices and defenses, all contribute to a lesbian struggle.  She also focuses on gender identity confusion, survival strategies, the nature of emotional dependencies and associated projections and transferences, Axis 1 and Axis II symptomology and more.  She contrasts male and female homosexuality and explores gender differences.  She also explores the relevant therapeutic issues, practical solutions and actual therapy techniques that are effective with women in conflict with lesbian feelings.  This lecture was recorded at the 2002 Evergreen International Conference on Male and Female Homosexuality.
